Stashr ("we," "our," or "us") is a browser extension that enhances your OkCupid browsing experience. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Stashr is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OkCupid or Match Group, LLC. OkCupid® is a registered trademark of Match Group, LLC. All rights to OkCupid and its trademarks belong to their respective owners.
1. Information We Collect
Information stored locally on your device
Stashr stores the following data exclusively in your browser's local storage — it never leaves your device unless you choose to sync it:
- Profile identifiers you have marked as "Stashed" or "Hard Passed"
- Your extension preferences and settings
- Location preferences you have set within the extension
Information we do not collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store:
- Your OkCupid login credentials or account information
- Personal information from OkCupid profiles you view
- Messages, photos, or any content from OkCupid
- Your browsing history outside of OkCupid pages
- Payment information (handled entirely by Stripe or the Chrome Web Store)
Anonymous analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data about how our landing website (stashr.xyz) is used — such as page views and general traffic sources. This data does not identify you personally. The extension itself does not send any analytics data.
2. How We Use Information
The locally stored data is used solely to provide Stashr's core functionality — remembering which profiles you've stashed or hard passed so the extension can apply your preferences as you browse OkCupid.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Because your stash and hard-pass data is stored locally on your device, it is never transmitted to our servers.
4. Premium Features & Payments
If you choose to upgrade to a premium plan, payment processing is handled by a third-party provider (such as Stripe or the Chrome Web Store billing system). We do not receive or store your credit card details. The payment processor's own privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Your locally stored data persists until you uninstall the extension or manually clear it from your browser's extension storage. Uninstalling Stashr removes all locally stored data associated with it.
6. Children's Privacy
Stashr is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older, consistent with OkCupid's own terms of service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
